Ventozelo is much more than just a farm. Ventozelo is Nature in the rough, a nest of biodiversity that stretches out of sight and asks to be discovered.

To immerse yourself in its vastness and to know this land in-depth, 7 circuits are available that explore the different natural settings of the Quinta.

With varying lengths and degrees of difficulty, audio guides are available to orient your route and help you to take advantage of the surroundings.

Vineyard Path (Jardim or Chorão Vineyard)

Where you can learn about different forms of historical and contemporary site framing, as well as vernacular planting practices and the contemporary reinterpretation of ancestral vine planting practices.

Windmill Path

Evoking activities of great importance in other times, such as the production of cereals or olive oil, it also allows to contemplate the ecosystem of the riparian gallery of Ribeira de Ervedosa.

Cork Tree Path

This route focuses on Quinta's game and forestry exploration areas, areas that are currently greatly reduced in the Douro region.

ERVEDOSA PATH

By taking this path, visitors will be able to know another Douro reality, that takes you back to a time when the transportation of goods and people was done without mechanical means. Guests only.

Boar Path

Densely populated by shrubby species and crossed by waterways, it is the ideal route for observing the local fauna at different times of the day - wild boars, foxes and other animals. Another attraction is bird watching, as this is where nesting resident and migratory species.

River Path

Following the trail along the banks of the Douro river, this route replicates the public path that connected Soutelo do Douro to Pinhão, however, submerged by the construction of the Bagaúste dam.

Taylor-Made Tour

Enjoy Quinta’s unique landscapes through a private 4x4 jeep tour. ‑e tour is personalized according to the time of year and Quinta’s work, with a surprise halfway through.

Wine Tour

Route in the main nucleus of the Quinta, known as Sítio dos Prazeres. On this tour you can learn about the main structures essential for the operation of a Douro farm and a little about the history of Ventozelo. It includes observation points over the Douro Valley and a sensory experience that stimulates the five senses.
